Meet the Directors

Vinaini is a promising young dancer who specializes in Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak. She has been performing on stage from the age of one, and a video of one of her performances at this age went viral on YouTube with over 24 Million views. She has now done over 600 performances around the world, including a prestigious event presided by Smt. Pratibha Patil, the former President of India, and Late Dr. Karunanidhi, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Vinaini is the daughter and student of Kalaimamani Dr. Sinduri of Savithri Arts Academy, Los Angeles. She has recently taken a more active role in the academy as the co-director. Vinaini has also delved into many other styles of dance, such as Bhangra, Garba, Kuthu, hip hop, afrobeats, and more. Using these styles, she creates her own unique choreographies and projects which can be seen on her social media accounts. She has over 19K subscribers on her YouTube channel and over 80K followers on TikTok. Vinaini graduated from UC Riverside with degrees in Philosophy and Psychology, and will be getting her Masters of Fine Arts in Choreographic Inquiry at UCLA starting in Fall 2024. 

Kalaimamani Dr. Sinduri started her dance career as a child prodigy and quickly became an internationally acclaimed Indian Classical Dancer, now based in Los Angeles, CA. She carries a doctorate in Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi, and is also very well versed in Kathak, Mohiniattam, and all folk dances of India. Dr. Sinduri specializes in creating dance dramas, with the subject matter ranging from Hindu Mythology to commentary on social justice issues. Over the course of her career, she has done over 2500 performances all across the globe, many of which were presided by dignitaries such as the former presidents and prime ministers of each respective country. Dr. Sinduri broke records in her career, such as being the youngest dancer invited to perform at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi in the early 90s. She has also received many titles and awards, such as “Kalaimamani,” a title given by the Tamil Nadu State to honor highly accomplished individuals. She has been running her dance school, Savithri Arts Academy, in Los Angeles, CA since 1997. Since then, she has been supporting countless artists, both dancers and musicians, from India as well as throughout the U.S. She has also sponsored many cultural events for the community through the last 25 years. Though based in LA, Dr. Sinduri has students from all over the world, tuning into class through Zoom. Most recently, she toured India to perform for prestigious audiences in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and others.
